Renowned actor Giancarlo Esposito, celebrated for his roles in “Breaking Bad” and “The Boys,” is set to star in the upcoming apocalyptic thriller “Please Don’t Feed the Children.” This film marks the feature directorial debut of Destry Allyn Spielberg, the daughter of esteemed filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where a viral outbreak has decimated the adult population, “Please Don’t Feed the Children” follows a group of orphans as they journey south in search of a new beginning. Their quest for a better life takes a dark turn when they encounter a mysterious woman hiding a perilous secret.
Esposito, who is also a part of the cast for the upcoming A24 horror movie “Maxxxine,” joins a diverse ensemble including Michelle Dockery, Vernon Davis, Joshuah Melnick, Emma Meisel, Dean Scott Vazquez, Zoe Colletti, Regan Aliyah, and Andrew Liner. The film is penned by Paul Bertino and promises to be an “elevated genre film,” blending psychological elements with thriller and horror.
Director Destry Allyn Spielberg has expressed her excitement about the project, emphasizing the collaborative spirit and inspiration behind the film. She regards the movie as much more than a typical horror flick and is particularly thrilled about working with a cast that includes talents like Michelle Dockery.
Esposito’s involvement in the project has been met with enthusiasm. Spielberg has acknowledged the honor of working with such a respected and talented artist, highlighting the significance of his casting in the film.
