Scream 08: Manson Updates ‘Phantasmagoria’, Creepy Album Chit-Chat
How sweet it is to see Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez carousing around Hollywood together again. Last night at the Spike TV Scream Awards, Manson and Twiggy took a trip down the red carpet to talk about their forthcoming album - among other things. SpookyDan caught up with Manson who chatted about the progress of his horror film, Phantasmagoria, while also giving some insight into his latest record. Twiggy chimes in with some very interesting (and odd) dialogue. I’d call this a must read…
“I just got an updated script [for PHANTASMAGORIA] today,” Manson says explaining that making records always seems to get in the way of filming the movie. “I don’t know what he status is, except that I think that timing has always been a problem with it, because I wanted to do a record when it was time to do it. Now, we’re focused on making another record.”
He continues, “We’re almost done. The new record is very much were we left off without repeating something we’ve done [already].”
Twiggy Ramirez, the band’s long-time bassist, adds a little jolt of information, “It sounds like ripping a rib cage up and taking a shit on your chest or on your heart.“
“That’s scary,” exclaims SpookyDan.
“It’s not meant to be,” Manson chimes back in. That’s the way we romance women. We think that anal sex is four play. Its not our fault, it’s the way we were raised,” he jokes?
