Disney Picks Up Monster Attack Network
Variety reports that Disney has just acquired the film rights to Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman’s graphic novel Monster Attack Network. It seems like yet another odd move for Disney who have recently begun to travel more and more into the mainstream entertainment rather than focusing on the wholesome family friendly stuff they have been doing.
However this could just as easily be turned into a Monsters Inc deal. According to the trade the story takes place on a South Pacific island where a team of first-responders rescue residents who are regularly attacked by giant monsters who emerge from the sea. I’m not quite sure where this one will head but we will let you know when more details are released.
