Del Toro Producing Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark
Guillermo del Toro and Miramax are teaming up to produce the horror flick remake of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. Now honestly I have never seen this film so I’m not sure if this is the case where it needed it or not but it sounds like this updated version could turn out pretty good. According to THR they plan on using a lot of different creature designs like what del Toro did with Pan’s Labyrinth.
On board to make his directoral debut is comic book writer/artist Troy Nixy. Apparently he is also one of the young filmmakers that has been mentored by del Toro along with Juan Antonio Bayona. The film is still in its early stages so things won’t be trickling out for a little while but once they do we’ll be on top of it.
