X-Files 2 DVD Low Down
The sex kittens at MoviesOnline sat down with X-Files creator Chris Carter and Frank Spotznik to talk about the upcoming X-Files movie and they were able to glean some cool details including the fact that the DVD release will indeed be an extended cut. As for the Blu-Ray release Frank said:
I had no idea what Blu-Ray could do. I thought it was just a higher definition picture, but it’s much more than that. We are trying to think of every possible way to exploit the Blu-Ray medium. Those discussions are still continuing. We’ve been working on the Blu-Ray and the DVD release for months already.
It’s going to be packed with a lot of bonus features. I’m sure they’ll want to announce what is on them specifically, but there will be a gag reel, a making of, as there always are, multiple commentaries, both audio and video that you can access in a unique way because it’s Blu-Ray. We are going to take advantage of the online feature in a way we haven’t determined yet. There are deleted scenes. There is an extended version of the movie, then there are deleted scenes. I’m going to get it wrong if I try to tell you which scenes are going into which. There will be a lot of extras.
How excited are you for X-files 2? I for one am stoked but must admit I think I am going to be waiting for the DVD Release before I go see it.
