MGM Greenlights Cabin In The Woods
MGM has just given the greenlight to a script written by Joss Whedon and Cloverfield scribe Drew Goddard titled Cabin in the Woods. The film will be the directoral debut for Drew Goddard while Whedon will also Produce. The story for the film is being kept under wraps at this point.
MGM’s Mary Parent wouldn’t give away any details either, “Yeah, right,” Parent told THR. “I’ll be shot. I’ve got like 12,000 online people outside. They’ve got me under pain or punishment, I’m not allowed to discuss. It’s an intense visceral thrill ride and I’ll leave it at that. It was everything you would have hoped with the two of them.”
So we don’t know much except that it will be something about a cabin in the woods. I think that is a safe bet. Otherwise they are hoping to begin shooting in the Fall. Be sure to keep it here for more info as we get it.
