Poultrygeist DVD Release Date!
It has been years since Poultrygeist was finished and finally ol’ Lloyd Kaufman has decided its high time to release the film on DVD so all the fans can enjoy it for themselves. Personally I never thought the day would come but here we are. Lloyd made the announcement on his MySpace blog that it will be released on October 28th.
He is currently launching a grass campaign now to have people go to their local video stores and have them request to carry it. Of course I always say its much easier to just order it online. But I’m sure Troma wants to get this movie into the hands of every man, woman and child.
In case you haven’t been following the film, it takes place when the American Chicken Bunker, a military-themed fried-chicken chain, builds a restaurant on the site of an ancient Indian burial ground, local protestors aren’t the only ones crying fowl! The previous tenants, fueled by a supernatural force, take “possession” of the food and those who eat it, and the survivors discover that they must band together before they themselves become the other white meat!
