New Distributor For Trick ‘r Treat?
Last year Warner Bros. was all set to release Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat in October. For some reason however out of nowhere Warner Bros. yanked the film completly off of their schedule. An odd move that angered alot of fans who had made it one of their most anticipated films of the year.
Carter To Join Terminator 4 Cast
THR reports that Helena Bonham Carter is eyeing a role in McG’s Terminator Salvation. Currently there is no word on what role she will receive but that it is a small but pivotal one. Principal photography began last month in New Mexico, with the idea that most exteriors will be shot before the potential SAG strike.
In the highly anticipated new installment of The Terminator film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. Read the rest of this entry »
Dead Country Sequel Under Way
Director Andrew Merkelbach dropped us a line about what is happening with his film Dead Country and what is up next for him. First of all Dead Country will be seeing a worldwide DVD release thanks to Brain Damage Films sometime in October. Once we discover the release date on that we will be sure to let you know.
Tartan Films Is Dead
A while back we reported that Tartan Films USA was having issues and were going to sell off their assets. The US offices were closed and sold off but the main Tartan Films office remained open in London. However, this appears to have been a sign of the end for the entire company as a whole as Variety reports that Tartan Films officially closed their London offices for business on Thursday. Workers reported to work on June 26th only to find the door locked. They were all later called and told the company was out for business by Tartan head Hamish McAlpine.
George Romero Remaking Peeping Tom?
Alright, this whole thing is about to keep the rumor mill burning a little and we’ll have to keep an ear out for how it develops. A while back, I heard a whisper that George Romero was interested in remaking Peeping Tom (1960). This really peaked my interest at the time as I love the original and was intrigued that he would be interested in this project. So I tucked it in the back of my head and was going to wait til I heard more to report anything
