Midnight Meat Train Getting Dumped?
Gotta start this one off with I have no idea who this person is or how credible they are. I can say they had email addresses for LionsGate staff I dont have which gives him some semblance of credibility so I figured I would share. According to Mystery Guest Z LionsGate is planning to DUMP Midnight Meat Train into a quick theatrical run then right onto DVD. The reason? Politics if you believe the scooper. Read on kids.. read on.
A very reliable SOURCE from Lionsgate has told me that the Lionsgate decision to “dump” Midnight Meat Train in as few screens as they are contractually required and then rush the film to DVD is based purely on INTERNAL POLITICS.
The new head honcho doesn’t like the old head honcho and is deliberately “dumping” all of his films out of spite and malice. But there is HOPE! The only thing that overrides backstabbing politics in Hollywood is PURE GREED. It is clearly not healthy for investor relations to “dump” a movie that has a vocal and dedicated audience. Midnight Meat Train represents the kind of horror film that audiences have been dying for!!!
There is growing internal pressure within the company for a wider release of this film and PUBLIC FAN PRESSURE may help to push this decision over the edge.

Now that said. I am not posting the email addresses or phone numbers for the contacts that this writer included to ‘encourage’ the release of midnight meat train. Lionsgate is a good studio and I dont want them getting molested with hundreds of emails from irrate fans. That said doesnt take long on google to get the info you need if you feel the urge to write Lionsgate. Just dont expect much I have never believed in the power of petitions. If that was the case I would have had a Transformers movie 20 years ago 
My thinking is LionsGate will release it into theatres, if it does well they will extend its run. If it bombs, then it will get pulled and rushed onto DVD. This is pretty normal. Whether its a conspiracy at Lionsgate or not I can not say. My thinking here is what does Lionsgates new Chief have to gain by sabotaging their films? Sound off in the comments…
