Evigan, Tigers, and Hurricanes!
I think we have finally entered the twlight zone. Seriously this is possibly one of the worst ideas I have ever heard before. So prepare yourself for this one because I never even thought a movie of this caliber would be greenlit unless it was going straight to the SciFi Channel.
Variety reports Sobini Films is going to begin production on Burning Bright in mid-July which will star Briana Evigan (Step Up 2 the Streets). Now this is where things get good check this out, the film “centers on a 20-year-old and her autistic little brother who are trapped in a house with a ravenous tiger during a hurricane.”
Are they serious? An autistic kid, a tiger, trapped in a house with a hurricane going on outside? Unfortunately they are. The key point here though is to look at who is involved with the project. Sobini has a first look deal with Lionsgate who have no problem dumping this on DVD. The guys producing the project are also behind the infamous Leprachaun franchise.. Really? Nuff said..
