Fuller Talks Rosemary’s Baby Remake
This is gonna probably piss off a bunch of you. Brad Fuller from Platinum Dunes told Shock that the remake for Rosemary Baby had to be done and here is a direct quote one that I think will irk die hard fans;
“If we don’t do Rosemarys Baby someone else is,” says Fuller. “They’re not going to pass on that. Being horror fans like we are, we want to take the opportunity to take shot at it rather than read about someone else doing it.
Making a movie because if we dont remake it somebody else will? What happened to making a movie because it was an awesome idea or because it was new and original and would impress the hell out of fans. It gets worse though. There are a bunch of scripts being considered some supernatural and some NOT supernatural. Figure that one out. I like remakes myself but not liking what Brad had to say for the reason.
In the original film, Rosemary and her husband move into a new apartment, only to be surrounded by peculiar neighbors and occurrences. When Rosemary becomes mysteriously pregnant, paranoia over the safety of her unborn child begins controlling her life. Right now the guys at Platinum Dunes are busy working on two other classic remakes of Friday the 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street.
