Aliens: Colonial Marines Pushed Back
The videogame Aliens: Colonial Marines from the screenshots already on the web, seems to promise a tight mix of suspense and action that was delivered in James Cameron’s follow up to Ridley Scott’s 1979 tour-de-force. The game was originally due out late this year, however ComputerandVideogames has learned the game will be pushed back into early 2009. Personally, I’m rather happy for pushing the game back, gives the developers time to get out all the bugs and make the best game possible.
Aliens: Colonial Marines was originally an EA Games project during the hay-day of the Playstation 2 however the console was unable to handle the game EA desired to create. Much to their credit, they halted production. The current developer behind the game is Gearbox Software, the folks behind the Brothers In Arms series. For the folks who haven’t played the BIA games: imagine you mix Rainbow Six with Call of Duty, good realism with fun action.
So I have full confidence the game will be awesome. Now if only there will be an Aliens vs Predator 3….but anywho, Aliens: Colonial Marines is slated for an early 2009 release for the Xbox360, Playstation 3, and PC.
