Split Image Pictures has just signed Jennifer Lynch to direct horror/thriller Nagin. The film is toplined by Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat and Irfan Kahn. The film is based on the Far Eastern myth of the snake woman who is able to take on human form. Production is expected to begin in India next month.

This sounds like it could be very interesting. We have seen what many countires have to offer in the horror genre but India is definitely one where we have seen little of anything come. Hopefully this one will open up the gates for more projects like this one to be produced.
