30 Days of Night 2 Direct to DVD?
This is some interesting news. According to Bloody-Disgusting 30 Days of Night 2 is going to be going direct to DVD. Considering that the first film pulled in just under $40 million at the box office it doesnt come as a surprise to me that their is talk of sending the sequel straight to dvd. If its well marketed it can make just as much money without the expense of a theatrical release.
STYD however has countered the article by our friends at BD with a quote from Steve Niles stating that the film WILL NOT go direct to DVD. They have a direct quote from Steve Niles that makes it really clear. At the end of the day it doesnt really matter to me. Direct to DVD or theatrical release, so long as it has good production values we as horror fans will all watch it!
