Gold Circle Films Goes Solo
Gold Circle Films and Safran have tapped Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego to direct their horror/thriller Solo. Lopez-Gallego made a splash in September at the Toronto International Film Festival when the Weinstein Co. picked up his Spanish survival thriller “King of the Hill.”
Details on Solo are being kept under lock and key but it is said to be a “Misery”-style thriller for the teen set, with elements of “Lord of the Flies” and “Blue Lagoon.” Principal Photography is said to begin within the next few months.
