Emily The Strange Movie Is Coming

Skateboarder Rob Reger was developing a bunch of new designs for stickers, skateboards, you know that kind of thing, back in the 90s. Little did he know that his character design of Emily the Strange would take off and become a multimillion dollar business. Emily soon began to become a figure for female empowerment and anti-conformity. The brand expanded all the way to comic books where she found a home at Dark Horse.

Now that Dark Horse has a deal to make films from their comic titles with Universal they are now going to be bring her and her four cats to the big screen according to THR. Where they plan to go with the story is being kept underwraps. At this point they are also unsure if they will make it live action, animation or a mixture of both. So this bit of news is a little early as they are still searching for a director at this point as well. Keep it here for more.
