Watch Me Review
I really liked this Asian influenced horror film. Even though The Ring, and The Grudge influence are evident at first glance, they still pulled it off and creepiness really prevailed. The down low was this, a couple of students are doing a paper in college so they get a few underground flicks to use as part as their cinema class project. Jill unfortunately watches the film and you see what became of her!
Her friend Tess who was working on this project with her goes searching for answers about the film and why are the people who are watching it are all turning up dead. After finally tracking down the seller of these snuff films they together search for the truth. The sit and try to decipher the clues and figure out why this is happening. The film comes in the form of a file on the computer.
Tess winds up finding out that the victim in the movie was a lady named Sadie Morgan who was once a cinema study student herself until becoming the subject of this awful underground snuff video. Part of the mystique of it all was wondering what the hell that poor girl on film went threw. One might assume something with water involved since she seemed to always come around with it.
Watch Me was a surprise hit with me and if you have enjoyed the films I have mentioned in the first paragraph above you’ll surely get a kick out of this. Watching the video girl Sadie hum while she was sewing shut the eyes was very effective, you knew she was out for revenge and she was very happy when she punished each viewer. Will they be able to destroy the file before it’s to late and another will die in her place?
