Righetti Finds Camp Crystal Lake
Not long ago word came out that Derek Mears will be the next Jason, or at least he is a very strong contender for the role. Today Variety reports that Amanda Righetti (Return to House on Haunted Hill) is in final negotiations to play the female lead in Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th. She will be joined by Supernatural star, Jared Padalecki.
Well it looks like we got the answer of what kind of cast we were going to be looking at. Lets see what other WB stars they can bring into the cast by the time shooting begins. Honestly this should have been pretty obvious from the get go. Well I guess it shouldn’t matter too much as long as all these faces show up on the chopping block. Marcus Nispel will be behind the helm with the release of course set on February 13th, 2009.
