Sullivans New Project: Clowns
Tim Sullivan is really one of the coolest guys in horror. He is just another fan who has been lucky enough to work within the industry to give us some good horror flicks. I’m sure most of you know him for directing 2001 Maniacs and Driftwood but he also wrote the script for Snoop Doggs Hood of Horror.
Today Dread Central got the inside scoop on what he is working on next. It will be a small film called Clowns. The story is about ancient creatures who are the inspiration of modern day clowns, only the don’t take to kindly to it. A 16 year old girl is celebrating her birthday when the ancient clowns show up to tell her that she is a descendant of the clan.
Dread also went on to explain some of the back story: “The roots of the story go back to Ancient Egypt, believe it or not, travelling to modern times as we follow this family of what outwardly may look like regular clowns leaving a trail of bodies across a small town over the course of a day. They’re not regular clowns, as we soon learn. Their makeup doesn’t run, they all sprout horns under their funny hats, their noses are fake and their trick flowers are actually fleshy protrusions on their chest that shoot a highly toxic acid.”
Now it all sounds really serious but we are assured that this is going to be another fun ride from Sullivan. It sounds like a great idea and I can’t wait to see where this one is headed.
