BioShock 2 Announced
According to the game gurus at IGN BioShock 2 is set for release in October ‘09. This game has gotten INSANE rave reviews. I tried to play it on my computer which is a top of the line Toshiba with ALL the bells and whistles but it ran like shit so I gave up. To give you an idea I run Half Life 2 jacked up on the highest settings. So I was shocked Bioshock wouldnt play for me. But I am sure those of you who have played it are stoked for #2 since the first one has gotten such rave reviews.
You will recall from months ago that Bioshock is the next game to movie adaptation. Set in an alternative 1960, you play a survivor of a plane crash at sea, a crash that sees marooned in the middle of the ocean, except for a strange structure nearby. This is the entrance to an underwater city called Rapture, created by the hugely rich and slightly odd businessman Andrew Ryan.
He wanted to create a perfect society filled with the best of humanity, and in 1950 did just that. As the population rose to thousands, so did its problems, a class system evolved and with it genetic engineering and experimentation for those who could achieve it, and soon all out war. You have arrived at the city when it has been ravaged by war, but there are still survivors.
