Salem’s Lot Review

This is by far my favorite vampire movie. I like the lead vampire, I like the overall atmospehre of the movie, the acting was great, and it was pretty terrifying. I really like the basic plot of it, too, and you can’t give all the credit to Stephen King on that one.

This movie was changed a lot from the novel. Well, the strongest actor in this movie is David Soul, and he also has the strongest role. He has the lead role with the most lines. I also liked the Straker character, who is played by James Mason. These may be the best actors in the movie, but there are very few poor acting spots in the movie. You won’t find anything wrong with any of the actors. The way Mr. Barlow the vampire looked was great. He reminded me a lot of Count Orlock, who is the vampire in Nosferatu. Mr. Barlow is more of a moster type of vampire than a human. The jail scene when you get your first veiw of him scared the crap out of me and scared the crap out of about everyone I know who have seen this movie. This is a very good movie to watch, it is terrifying, it has good acting, some cool looking vampires, and a good story.

I can’t tell you how good this movie is. The only reason it doesn’t get a solid 10/10 is because the re-watchability is pretty low, but that is to be expected from TV movies. This is a very underated film and is recomended to any vampire fan, any horror fan, or any Stephen King fan. I’d recomend this movie to pretty much anybody, but again, give it a rent, and if you feel like buying it then do so. Like I said before, the re-watchability is pretty low.
