A beautiful, intelligent coed (Katie Holmes) nearing graduation is haunted by her ex-boyfriend who vanished mysteriously during her freshman year. A recovering-alcoholic detective (Benjamin Bratt) investigating the case, uncovers disturbing evidence regarding the disappearance. He also discovers his passion for the girl he’s supposed to be investigating.
