CINEMA WASTELAND MOVIE & MEMORABILIA EXPO
We just got an update from the Cinema Wasteland Convention head honcho, Ken. The next convention is in April, and you dont want to miss this one. Check it out below…
CINEMA WASTELAND MOVIE & MEMORABILIA EXPO
April 4th, 5th and 6th, 2008
Holiday Inn Select - Strongsville, OH. 44136
Check us out at: www.cinemawasteland.com
Wow, did October just fly by or what?! Thankfully we’re down to our last couple of conventions before we wrap up the 2007 convention season. And in as much as I like to travel the Country talking movies and bull shitting with fellow fans and customers, I’m always glad when the shows wrap up so I get my three or four months off the road.
Feel free to check out the MEET THE WASTELAND section (at the top of the main web page) to see where we will be wrapping up our travels this month. Love to say hello before we get off the road, so be sure to stop over if you attend any of our last couple conventions of the 2007 season. And stay tuned as we update the MEET THE WASTELAND section in the weeks ahead as to where we will be appearing and what shows we will be doing next year.
Not being home the month of October has put a damper on getting the Cinema Wasteland Movie and Memorabilia Expo’s April 4-6, 2008 “Spring Spectacular” web pages updated, but we did manage to get the April 2008 Guest page up. Head on over to the convention pages and check out who we’ve got lined up for next Spring’s show. Cinema Wasteland does it like no other convention running, or we won’t do it at all!
With Spring in the air next April, it’s “Ghastlee’s Romance-O-Rama” at the Saturday Night GHASTLEE NITE AT THE MOVIES live show. Look forward our “The Love Connection” parody, along with audience interactive games like our take on “The Dating Game” for singles and “The Newlywed Game” for couples. I’ll have more information on how to be a part of the action in the next month or two.
I’ve also got some films and assorted movies ready to go for next Spring’s show so I’ll be updating the FILMS AND EVENTS section hopefully by the next monthly update as well.
I’m off to start packing for our road trip this weekend, so let me leave you with the usual Ticket and Hotel reminders. We’re always selling advance tickets on a steady basis and the hotel fills up faster every show, so I guess it’s never too early to start planning your next trip to Cleveland.
TICKETS: For everything we offer attending fans, there is no better bargain than an advance ticket to a Cinema Wasteland Show and no better time to plan to be with us than right now. No “hidden fees” at a Wasteland show guarantees every fan through the door is treated just like the person standing next to you in line; and your ticket in gets you everything we have to offer except for an autograph from our guests. Order before 3/7/08 and you can get an advance 3-Day Pass for
only $30.00. Yes, that was correct: Thirty bucks. Cheap at twice the price if you ask me. You can also save $5.00 on any single day pass ordered in advance before 3/7/08 and five bucks is more than enough to grab yourself a cold beer from the bar, leave your bartender a tip, and still have a buck left in your pocket when you think about it.
HOTEL: One thing you can always count on is that the hotel will be sold out by show time. Avoid the headache of having to stay down the road by making your room reservations today. You can call the Holiday Inn Select direct at 440-238-8800 to make your room reservations, or you can make your reservations from our web site. As always, just let the hotel know you are with the Cinema Wasteland Expo to save a few bucks off normal rates, and DO NOT take them up on any kind of “special offers” as you’ll end up paying more in the long run and we won’t get
credit for your room in our block. And take any room available. There are only a few smoking rooms and no matter what they tell you, it’s “first come, first served” as to who gets one. Don’t bitch. No need to whine. Why get drunk and act stupid just because you arrived late and missed out on a smoking room? Just remember the magic word: Fabreeze. It’s cheap. It’s easy. It works. Don’t leave home without it.
Well, I must admit that since I went and just ran another show I’d actually pay to attend as a fan myself next Spring, that I’m already pretty excited about next April’s show. I’m even happier to hear so many of you regular attendees are excited right along with me as you regulars are who I run my show for in the first place. I’m even getting emails and the occasional phone call from fans who plan on attending
their first Wasteland show next April because of what I’m planning. Now that makes a show promoter who actually tries to run a “show” feel good if I say so myself. Thanks for that.
Until next month,
Ken
